Develop, conduct and optimize resistance tests in order to enable the breeders to develop varieties with the necessary resistances. Your major accountibilities are:

Supports and renders services to the breeding teams with their breeding programs on several worldwide locations.
Gives Phytopathological input for the development of the breeding programs.
Develops a clear Phytopathological vision on the breeding programs.

De functie-eisen van de vacature Scientist Phytopathology zijn:

M.Sc./Ph.D. in Phytopathology or in related field.
Some working experience in the mentioned disciplines.
Knowledge of breeding is an advantage.
Good and open communicator, also in English.
Practical orientation and the ability to steer a small team.
Result oriented, cooperative and a good planner and organizer.
Keeping track of planning and budget, able to keep overview and has a clear priority setting.
Willing to travel.
