If you are selected you will receive a fulltime (38 hours) contract from the employer for one year. The company is willing to offer a permanent contract after one year when you perform well. The procedure for this vacancy includes at least three interviews and an online assesment.

Hierarchically this position will report to the Scientist Genomics. In this position you will perform molecular biological research in direct collaboration with several different departments within the company and with colleagues in our laboratory in the USA. You will make use of molecular technologies such as:

in general,

• DNA sequencing, SNP discovery and SNP genotyping, DNA arrays, Q-PCR, RNA profiling, mutant identification, tilling and gene cloning.
• specific for Genomics,
• Tilling/mutant screening, biometric plant analysis, gene expression analysis, DNA cloning/sequencing, PCR-based techniques
• You will be involved in the initiation and execution of new projects to improve traits of our products. You will be up-to-date on new developments within the field of research.

• HLO Biochemie or BSc in (Plant) Genetics or Molecular (Plant) Biology.
• You have 0-7 years of working experiences.
• Experience with modern DNA and RNA-techniques.
• Comfortable with computational statistics & data analysis.
• Comfortable with the basics of bio-informatics.
• Some knowledge of Plant Breeding is an advantage.

The salary that the company offers depends on your education and working experience. The offered salary can vary between € 2300,- and € 3700,- a month based on 38 hours.
