Main purpose of the role:
- The candidate will be responsible for the management of the EMEA growout activities, including the evaluation of genetic quality by reading of trial fields in the Netherlands and abroad.
- The candidate will be responsible for DPR goal setting, performance review, and people development of the growout technicians in Noord-Holland.
- The candidate will be responsible for continuous improvement across all aspects of the growout process, including sample routing, trial assembly, trial reading, posting of data, and the interpretation of results. Enhancements that improve turnaround time, safety, ergonomics, quality of results, costs and workplace environment are encouraged.
- Strong communication skills will be required to provide interpretation, explanation, and recommendations to management. Candidate must have computer skills, a strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a very team oriented environment. A successful candidate will be highly self motivated and have the ability to work without detailed oversight on significant projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of local Growout staff; DPR goal setting, performance review, people development
- Assist WW Coordinator PGO with trial related issues.
- Trial field Management.
- Independently read trial, interpret field data, assign Genetic quality ratings, and post data in SAP.
- Interpret Growout data for QA, production, SS, etc.
- Continuous improvement of Growout policies/procedures using Six Sigma and LEAN principles.
