Junior Technical Product Manager

This company is specialised in producing crop protection products in Europe. Their wide range includes herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and plant growth regulators. It is the only Company in its area that has theat its location conducts entire business cycle whole process of development (concept – development - production) on one location. They stand for high quality protection products. In order to improve their products and solve the farmers ‘problems, they work closely together with growers of vegetables, such as sugar beets, potatoes, strawberries,etc and union. They want to add more value to their products in the way of giving more technical support to their customers. Because of this ambition and growth they have a new vacancy for a just right graduate/post graduate or junior candidate who wants to learn on the job and become a specialist in crop protection products. JUNIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Full-time (38 hours) and you will be directly hired by the employer.

In this position you will become a product manager who will work closely together as a liaison with the Sales, R&D, Field Trials and Regulatory team in the Netherlands. In consultation with the other departments you will:

• Initiate and monitor the process of product development from concept to commercialization.
• Give technical support for marketing and sales department by means of writing product sheets.
• Attend fairs, visit customers (together with Sales) to launch new products and once a year present new products.
• Identify new products considering market potential in EU markets.
• Support development by analysing existing product range and ideas to strengthen the current portfolio.
• Initiate strategies for growth in new geographical regions and label extensions.
• After a period of learning the companies ‘products you will have the opportunity to travel in 35% of the time to clients in the Netherlands.
• International ambitions are discussable and depend on your development within this position.

We are looking for an excellent communicator who is enthusiastic about presenting technical products to the customers.

• Bachelor or Master degree in agricultural or chemical sciences with 0-3 years of experience. For example Horticulture, Plant sciences, Chemistry.
• Good technical knowledge of chemicals and growing crops (for example experience/internships in the crop protection industry).
• Working experience in product development will be a plus.
• You are fluent both in Dutch and English language.
• You are a self-motivated individual with drive and able to work in teams. Problem-solving and decision-making skills are important in this position.
• Excellent written communication skills.
