Field representative

This company encompass all aspects of crop production, from planting through harvest, conditioning, treating, packaging and distribution for multiple crops.

The Field Representative will be a production representative in Holland. This position organizes production activities in a determined area based on production orders from Supply Planning, to ensure that the ordered seed is produced and delivered at the right quantity and quality to meet customer's expectations.

The Field Representative will report to the Production Manager.

In this position you will have three main tasks which are:

• Receiving orders for seeds and transform these into contracts with growers and arranging seeds for them (25-30%). This includes:
  - Negotiate and prepare grower contracts for the area;
  - Support production activities, which include coordination of selection, arrange for dispensation of the use of insecticides for the trials, arrange transportation etc..
• Advising growers about the production of crops and selection of seeds from growers (50%). This includes:
  - Control purity of stock seed;
  - Responsible for labor and training of growers labor;
  - Prepare grower settlements and other vendors related to Production;
  - Execute field inspections with the QA team or NAK-T to require phytosanitary certificates.
• Other tasks such as optimalize the proces between receiving seeds and production within this company (25%). This includes:
  - Make a realistic estimate of expected production, register necessary information in the system and analyze the results;
  - Monitor seed supply to Operations;
  - Send production department all the reporting requirements of Monsanto and implement new technological developments in Production.

• Bachelors Degree in Agriculture (HAS or equivalent)
• 0-10 years of experience with growing crops and direct contact with growers. If you are a just graduate or junior feel free to respond, because this position includes one year learning on the job from a specialist.
• Familiarity with the seed industry.
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, SAP, etc.). Knowledge and exposure to ISO 9001 is an advantage.
• You must have a valid driver's license and be prepared to travel within the Benelux.
• The position requires excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and in English, as well as good negotiation skills. The right candidate is result oriented, a team player and has a good sense of timing.
